” We live in an 80+ year old home that needed central A/C. The people before us owned the home for 47 years, why hadn’t they installed central A/C? Well, 5 estimates later we found out why — older homes are complicated and expensive to install central A/C. We were hesitant to lose our basement to giant duct work since we bought the house with every intention of our basement being USABLE space for our family of 5. …Bob Cardwell to the rescue! Bob explained high velocity duct work to us which would not impact our basement at all! We would also lose minimal closet space (inches really) and be able to install central A/C in our older home quickly, efficiently, and cost effectively. Since installation was happening in the heat of June Bob brought us portable air conditioners to keep our family comfortable during the installation process (much needed since we have a 4 year old, 2 year old, and 8 month old) and the temperatures were in the 90s for days! The crew worked tirelessly to get the project installed quickly and they were always very respectful of our home. Might I add that after having 5 estimates I simply liked Bob the best too. He is personable, a wonderful listener, and extremely knowledgable about the various services (regular vs high velocity, dual zone vs one unit, ect.) Overall we’ve had the new air cranking since installation and we are extremely happy. I’ve recommended Bob to EVERYONE who is looking for A/C repair or installation. He is truly a professional and the work is excellent! ”

“ Working with Bob was a pleasure. Bob was very knowledgeable and gave us options with pro’s and con’s for a variety of thermostats and humidifiers. Our humidifier installation required a running water line across 50 feet. Bob not only found a solution so no walls needed to be torn down but also got everything setup in one day. When we had a hiccup in our heating unit, unrelated to Bob’s work, he arrived at our house at 6:30 am to get the heat running again knowing we had young children. Cardwell HVAC had excellent customer service, great quality workmanship and is fair priced. ”

When Bob came to service our central air conditioning system, the first thing he did was put on paper booties over his shoes so that he didn’t track dirt in the house. Everything was explained and discussed with me. He was efficient, polite and reasonably priced. I would definitely call again! ”
